Roberto Chinchilla Menjívar Roberto is an architect and urban planner with over 20 years of experience working in the public sector, as an independent consultant, and as a university professor.
He has led multidisciplinary teams in formulating public policy instruments such as policies, strategies, plans, and legislation related to territorial planning, urban development, and human settlements.
Roberto has also developed expertise in implementing sectoral policies related to urban areas, including decentralization, good governance, urban violence prevention, economic competitiveness, and environmental impact assessments. Most recently, he has served as the Urban Planning Team Coordinator for the USAID Municipal Governance Project in El Salvador, providing technical and financial assistance to municipalities for physical-urban, economic, and social revitalization efforts in historic city centers.
